Access All Information Available – You should ask questions such as the following before you start any preparation – What is involved in the selection process?, How many interviews in the process?, What type of interview?, Who will be conducting the interview? And what competencies are being assessed? The information may not be forthcoming BUT al least ask!!
Employer Needs Identification – It is essential to identify what the employer needs. This will impact focus and how you answer questions at interview.
How You Meet Needs (Examples) – Outline your relevant skills, qualifications and experience that meets the employer requirements. It is important to back this up with examples or evidence. If you talk the talk you must walk the walk.
Review Your CV – Sounds basic BUT you would be surprised how many interviewees stumble here. Your CV will make up the basis for many questions asked during the interview. Make sure you are prepared to provide details and expand on key points. Ensure that you focus on dates, reasons for joining a company and for leaving companies. Also what you did but remember relevant information only.
Research The Company – Get creative. Most of your competition will visit the company website. Try to be innovative and stand out.
Practice Questions & Answers – Role play questions and answers with a friend or family. If this is not possible do this exercise in front of a mirror. This will help you hone your presentation skills and improve confidence. Interview Questions & Answers

Be Polite – Make sure you go out of your way to be polite throughout the day of the interview.
Body Language – Let’s keep this simple. Get the basics right -Firm Handshake, direct eye contact and a friendly smile. Try to demonstrate a sincere interest and enthusiasm for the job.
Maintain A Positive Attitude – Stay positive and believe in your ability. Watch out for interviewers who try to tease out negativity.
Stay Focused – EMPLOYER NEEDS AND HOW YOU MEET THEM!!
Keep Answers Brief & Concise – Try to limit answers to 2/3 minutes per question.
Examples To Support – This will help you stand out in the crowd.
Listen Carefully & Adapt – Pay attention throughout the interview and pick up on interviewer signs and body language.
